eCase Home Care

Latest update: 10 April 2025

User testing is now well underway. This testing helps us find and fix any problems before the system goes live.

The data team is also busy pulling together the production data. This includes making sure all dropdown menus, funding types, service types, client and employee information is in the system and working properly. This also includes migrating existing data like rosters and client budgets so everything is ready for go-live on 1 July.

Support at Home Program

Latest update: 4 April 2025

Starting 1 July 2025, the Australian Government will replace the current Home Care Packages (HCP) model with the new Support at Home Program. The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) will remain unchanged at this time and will transition to Support at Home no earlier than 1 July 2027.

The new program aims to simplify access to a wider range of services for older people, enabling them to remain in their homes longer while maintaining health, activity, and community connection.

Please familiarise yourself with the fact sheet below to help support clients through this transition.

New Aged Care Act and Strengthened Standards

Latest update: 4 April 2025

From 1 July 2025, the new Aged Care Act and Strengthened Standards will come into effect.

These important changes put the rights and needs of older people at the centre of the aged care system – delivering better support for individuals, their families and carers.

To help our clients understand these changes, we have created a guide featured in our April At Home magazine. This covers the Statement of Rights, the seven Strengthened Standards, and how Support at Home will affect both existing and new clients.

Please refer this resource when discussing these changes with the people you support.
